Miami, Florida . NBA veteran forward Marcus Morris Sr. was arrested in the state of Florida on fraud charges, according to official information provided by the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

The 35-year-old player's arrest took place in the jurisdiction of Fort Lauderdale and his photograph was published in the public database of that police entity. So far, the authorities have not revealed specific details about the type of fraud charged. Morris, twin brother of NBA player Markieff Morris, has had a career of more than a decade in the league, being selected in the 14th position of the 2011 draft by the Houston Rockets. Since then he has worn the uniforms of several teams, including the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers. During the 2024-2025 season, he signed a temporary contract in the preseason with the Knicks, but was cut before the official start of the campaign.
