- 1843: Due to the persecutions in Santo Domingo by the president of Haiti, General Charles Riviere Hérard Aîné, Father Gaspar Hernández Morales and Fray Pedro Pamies leave for Curaçao.
- 1866: President Gregorio Luperón orders the dissolution of the Auxiliary Board and convenes a National Convention to draft a Constitution and swear in the citizen elected President.
- 1914: Representatives of the government of José Bordas Valdez and the opponents Horacio Vásquez and Juan Isidro Jimenes meet in Puerto Plata and agree to stop hostilities for 15 days to consider the peace proposal of the U.S. President, Thomas Woodrow Wilson.
