Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology forecasts scattered showers in the afternoon due to a surface trough to the northwest of the country.

Henry Agramonte, INDOMET predictor, reported that there will be sunny skies for most of the morning and afternoon showers and possible urban flooding.

He also added that isolated thunderstorms, wind gusts, and even possible hail are expected in various locations in El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, María Trinidad Sánchez, Hermanas Mirabal, Espaillat, Duarte, Monte Cristi, Valverde, Puerto Plata, Santiago, San Juan, and Independencia, among other provinces.

The provinces that remain on green alert as of this time are: Monseñor Nouel, Santiago Rodríguez, Pedernales, La Vega, Dajabón and Elías Piña.
