Don Juan, Monte Plata. – The political and community leader, Anderson de los Santos, reported this Monday that the authorities are working quickly to enable a provisional passage in the community of Don Juan, after the collapse of the bridge that connects this area with the municipality of Yamasá and other locations in the province of Monte Plata.
De los Santos explained that the collapse of the structure significantly affected vehicular traffic, generating considerable delays for drivers and residents of various rural communities. However, he assured that heavy equipment is already on site executing the first interventions to restore mobility. "Work is already underway to enable a provisional passage. We know the population's concern, but the situation was critical after the bridge collapsed. At this moment, there is only passage for engines while the work progresses," he indicated. The community needs a quick response, and we are doing everything possible to restore the passage without waiting the 15 days that the formal repair could take," he said. Finally, De los Santos called on the population to remain calm and collaborate during the process, highlighting that the works are carried out continuously and that the authorities will inform each progress in the intervention in a timely manner.
