Santo Domingo. — On Wednesday night, American social media went wild; it was six o'clock in the evening when one post after another from the main global music platforms generated reactions on Instagram about the new release of the multifaceted artist, businessman, actor, and fashion icon A$AP Rocky, who unexpectedly launched his new song and video titled “Flackito Jodye,” a powerful and highly anticipated collaboration in both the Latin and Anglo markets alongside the Dominican rapper Tokischa. The premiere is now available on all digital platforms, while the video was released on Apple Music.
Directed by AWGE and edited by Hidji World & ENT.TV, the audiovisual presents the artistic chemistry between Rocky and Tokischa through a retro 3D style animation, an innovative visual proposal that reinforces the avant-garde character of both artists.
The track is part of Disc 2 of DON’T BE DUMB, A$AP Rocky's first album in almost eight years, released last Friday under the A$AP Worldwide/RCA Records label. The project has been highly acclaimed by specialized critics.
It is worth remembering that in 2024 the rapper from Harlem, New York, and the Dominican Tokischa went viral with a key moment while recording part of this visual, images that can be seen today in different fractions of the official video. Furthermore, A$AP Rocky chose an emblematic setting for both artists, paying homage to Dominican identity and valuing their roots by using the iconic St. Nicholas Avenue, also known as the "Juan Pablo Duarte Boulevard", as the location.

Rolling Stone highlights that "Rocky now presents a project that finds him mature and comfortable, both personally and musically," while Billboard states that "it not only rewards patience, but adds new layers to the rapper's approach, with an evolved relationship with melody and wiser lyrics." For its part, Variety celebrates this new stage as "a 2026 version of Rocky who raps with the same sharpness as always." This release comes after a historic year for A$AP Rocky, who served as co-chair of the Met Gala 2025, starred in two feature films produced by A24 —Highest 2 Lowest, directed by Spike Lee, and the Golden Globe winner If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, directed by Mary Bronstein—, was named creative director of Ray-Ban and appointed new global ambassador of the house Chanel. This important route connects the neighborhoods of Harlem —where Rocky was born and raised— and Washington Heights, one of the areas with the highest Dominican concentration in New York, recognized for bringing together the 360 culture of the country: its people, its identity, its gastronomy and its music, connecting directly with Tokischa's roots.
Tokischa: international projection and new artistic chapter This collaboration with A$AP Rocky adds to the outstanding list of international alliances that the Dominican Tokischa has built throughout her career. The artist is coming off an extraordinary year, positioning herself in the top of the best artists of 2025 and among the most listened to Dominicans on Spotify during the year, thus consolidating her global impact and her sustained growth within the music industry. Currently, Tokischa is preparing for the release of her first studio album, and her special participation in the FKA Twigs tour in the USA.
