At least 9 people died and 12 others were injured after an attack launched last night and attributed to Sudanese paramilitaries against an Army hospital in the city of Diling, in the state of South Kordofan, military sources reported this Monday.
The drone attack on a military hospital, which also treated civilians, was jointly perpetrated by the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and its ally Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), the Sudanese army denounced in a statement.

Currently, the focus of the Sudanese conflict is in the Kordofan area, after the RSF took control of the entire western region of Darfur this October following the capture of the city of Al Fasher, capital of North Darfur and the last stronghold of the Army in all of Darfur, during which numerous war crimes were committed, denounced by the United Nations. At the end of November, the paramilitaries declared a unilateral humanitarian truce that they themselves have violated, and which the Army rejected for refusing to hand over Sudanese territory to the FARC and considering the ceasefire proposals on the table to be partial.
The war in Sudan is the scene of the largest humanitarian catastrophe on the planet, according to the UN, with 65% of the civilian population in need of humanitarian aid and very limited resources to provide coverage.
