The Banco de Reservas obtained the ISO 9001:2015 certification for the Macroprocess of Operational Excellence Management after a rigorous evaluation process that recognized the effectiveness, consistency, and maturity of the management system implemented by the financial institution.
The accreditation was delivered by Ariel Espejo, director of the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR) in the Dominican Republic, who stated that certifying the Vice Presidency of Processes and Quality Assurance of Banreservas is to validate that world-class institutions are built by design in the Dominican Republic.
"Quality is, above all, an act of respect towards the end customer. Congratulations to the Banreservas team for this milestone. We continue to promote the culture of excellence," said the director of the accrediting organization.
While Miriam Minier, Vice President of Processes and Quality Assurance at Banreservas, highlighted that with this certification the Bank renews its commitment to excellence to strengthen the management system and add value to the services it offers to customers.
Minier thanked the support received from Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, Executive President of Banreservas, the Board of Directors, and the entire team for achieving this transcendental milestone.
With this distinction, Banreservas now has three units certified under this international standard: General Audit, the Specialized Services Center Directorate, and now the Vice Presidency of Processes and Quality Assurance, which consolidates an institutional culture oriented towards efficiency, transparency, and excellence in service.
For the achievement of this certification, the financial institution arranged for the collaboration of the Human Resources, Purchasing areas and the multidisciplinary team of the Vice Presidency of Processes and Quality Assurance.
These actions demonstrate that Banreservas continues to strengthen its commitment to quality and continuous improvement, reaffirming its leadership within the Dominican financial system.
It should be noted that the banking entity also obtained the recertification of the ISO 37001 standard, which supports the Anti-Bribery Management System, confirms its leadership in the region, while continuing to be a benchmark in the implementation of good practices against this crime.
