Centro Cuesta Nacional celebrates the academic excellence of its employees' children

Santo Domingo. – In the framework of its 90 years, Centro Cuesta Nacional (CCN) continues to leave a legacy that is forged with effort and dedication, on this occasion celebrating the twenty-first edition of its Academic Excellence program, an initiative that for more than two decades has rewarded the effort and dedication of the sons and daughters of its collaborators. This year, the ceremony was held in which the Excellent category students, a total of 343 children and young people, were honored in the Monseñor Amancio Escapa auditorium of Casa San Pablo for their outstanding performance during the 2024-2025 school year. The 284 Very Good category students also received their recognitions and awards at a later date.

At the event, the project Orgullo De Mi Tierra: El Pico Duarte was highlighted, where the effort of the students and their good grades was compared to climbing the highest mountain in the Caribbean. “To reach the summit, you have to go through steep paths, concentrate on the goal, plan each step and, above all, never lose sight of the objective. Because each step, although small, brings us a little closer to the highest point.”, highlighted Amalia Vega, vice president of Corporate Communication and Institutional Relations of CCN.

In this edition, two students considered Super Excellent, with a perfect average of 100 points, were specially awarded, granting them a laptop each, in recognition of their exceptional academic performance. The Academic Excellence program, which is part of CCN's support and motivation initiatives, seeks to inspire students to cultivate fundamental values that the company promotes, such as discipline, perseverance, and commitment. Since its inception, it has awarded more than 3,500 children of employees in the basic and middle levels. This celebration of excellence began with the presentation of the trailer for the film El Pico Duarte, part of the Orgullo De Mi Tierra project and the reason why this edition of Academic Excellence was dedicated to this majestic mountain.  Mrs. Vega concluded by saying, “Today, dear students, you are not at the final summit of your mountain because you still have many dreams and goals to conquer, but you have reached very high, to a place that not everyone manages to reach. And that deserves to be celebrated with pride.” The event was also marked by a festive atmosphere with the presentation of a colorful and lively dance by the Divershow team, which filled the day with energy and joy. Attendees experienced an afternoon of excitement and celebration, reinforcing CCN's commitment to the education and well-being of the families that are part of its great team.
