The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the US dollar for this Monday, the 2nd of 2026, as follows:
At the windows of financial institutions, the buying rate of the dollar was RD$59.34 and the selling rate was RD$61.52.
These figures reflect a daily appreciation of the peso of 0.81% in the purchase and 0.75% in the sale compared to February 25th.
The strengthening of the national currency is even more evident when compared to the close of 2025, accumulating an appreciation of 4.46% in the bank buying rate. Compared to the rates of a month ago, the peso has gained 4.33% in value.
For their part, the exchange agents reported a buying rate of RD$59.74 and a selling rate of RD$60.98. In this sector, the peso showed an appreciation of 0.69% and 0.56% respectively compared to the previous day.
Observing the accumulated performance since the end of last year, the local currency registers a significant robustness with an appreciation of 5.25% in the buying rate of these agents.
