Domingo Guzmán champion North Division softball of the National District

Defeat the Mellos and will face the champion of the South Division for the Great Brotherhood Cup Santo Domingo.- The Los Titanes team of the Domingo Guzmán league defeated the Mellos Softball Club to be crowned champion of the North Division in the chata softball tournament of the Rubén Pimentel leagues of the National District, in its XXXV version. Both teams, which advanced through “Wild Card” in the different stages, played at the Hoyo de Chulín stadium of the Alfredo Tejada sports complex. The tournament is organized by the National District Softball Association (Asadina), the Confraternidad 2025 cup is competed for, it is played with 4Fans balls and Z-mil bats distributed by JM. Álvarez, co-sponsors of the tournament. The champions relied on the pitching of Miguel de la Cruz, the winner, who was supported by 12 undisputed hits for a 7-5 victory. Eulogio Rivera was the losing pitcher.

The offensive part of the Titans was led by Juan C. Cabrera who hit 3-3, with one run scored; Onassis Rodríguez, 3-2 with a home run, scored one and drove in one; Miguel De la Cruz, 3-2, a double, with two RBIs; Jasiel Durán, 4-2, scored and drove in one and Amauris Jáquez 3-1, a home run, scored and drove in one. The trophy for the champions of the North Division was presented by Caonabo Lemoniel, vice president of Asadina, who congratulated the winners and had words of encouragement for the teams in the area that competed in the tournament. The Titans team will face the champion of the South Division. The Adovenprofar league, which defeated the Central in their last match, awaits its rival between the Restauradores and the Farándula, to define the champion, in a match that will take place on Thursday at the facilities of the Mirabal Club.
