EDENORTE invests over RD$89 million in the rehabilitation of electrical networks in Pontón - Navarrete

Santiago.- The Northern Electricity Distribution Company (EDENORTE) announced the launch of a project to rehabilitate electrical networks in the communities of Pontón Arriba and Pontón Abajo, corresponding to the municipality of Villa Bisón (Navarrete) with an investment of own resources for an amount of RD$89,797,809.94. In the town of Pontón Arriba, 1,233 customers will benefit through the installation of 414 poles, 367 luminaires, 42 distribution transformers, and the implementation of new medium and low voltage networks with a total of 26.3 km. Similarly, in the area of Pontón Abajo, 1,093 customers will be impacted, with the placement of 366 poles, 326 luminaires, 38 distribution transformers, and 23.31 km in low and medium voltage networks.

EDENORTE highlighted that these works improve the quality of the electrical service, reduce technical losses, and ensure greater reliability in the supply for the homes and businesses of these communities.

“This investment is part of our commitment to the energy development of the Northern region and to the well-being of our customers. We will continue to execute projects that strengthen distribution networks and guarantee a stable and safe service,” the company indicated in a statement.

With these works, EDENORTE reaffirms its commitment to continue transforming the electrical infrastructure of the Cibao, contributing to the economic and social development of its communities.
