Fans celebrate the One Piece season 2 trailer: "I never thought Netflix could do something so good"

The highly anticipated second season of One Piece, the successful live-action series from Netflix based on the manga by Eiichiro Oda, has generated a wave of positive reactions following the release of its first official trailer. Fans of the franchise have expressed their enthusiasm on social media, highlighting the visual quality and fidelity to the original material. “I never thought Netflix could do something so good,” commented a user on the official Netflix Spain channel, while others described the preview as “everything they needed from One Piece,” highlighting the high level of expectation surrounding this new release. Season 2, titled “ONE PIECE: Going to the Grand Line”, will premiere on March 10 and will show Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the Straw Hat crew beginning their journey towards the mythical Grand Line, a dangerous stretch of the ocean where the greatest challenges and mysteries of the pirate world are concentrated.

During their journey, the protagonists will face new threats and discover unprecedented scenarios, including the emergence of the feared criminal organization Baroque Works, composed of characters like Mr. 3 (David Dastmalchian), Mr. 5 (Camrus Johnson) and Miss Valentine (Jazzara Jaslyn), among other key antagonists. Production continues under the creative direction of Matt Owens and Joe Tracz, who serve as showrunners, writers, and executive producers. They are joined again by Eiichiro Oda as a producer, along with Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements, ensuring the continuity of the faithful approach that characterized the first season.

Following the success of its debut in 2023, One Piece seeks to establish itself as one of the most successful anime adaptations in live action format, reaffirming the public's confidence in its second season, which will arrive on Netflix on March 10.
