Mexican Juan Pedro Franco Salas, known for having been the world's most obese man, died in the state of Aguascalientes, where he was from, at the age of 41, due to a kidney infection.
In a statement, José Antonio Castañeda, the doctor who attended him, reported the death of the man who in 2017 obtained the Guinness record for being the heaviest human in the world at that time, weighing almost 600 kilos on the scale.
“In recent days, his health condition was compromised due to a kidney infection that evolved with systemic complications, which led to his death while he was hospitalized,” the specialist indicated.
