Licey releases 14 players ahead of the 2025-26 season

SANTO DOMINGO. – The Tigres del Licey announced this Tuesday the release of 14 players from their roster, a move with which the blue management seeks to make way for new incorporations for the next season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

Among those released are seven pitchers: Carlos Contreras, Juan Daniel Encarnación, Bryan Mena, Wilker Reyes, Víctor Simeón, Armando Vásquez, and Lisandro Santos. The list also includes receiver Nerio Rodríguez, infielders Robel García, Juan Báez, Brenny Escanio and Anderson Tejeda, as well as outfielders Ariel Almonte and Allan Cerda. The general manager of the Tigres, Audo Vicente, expressed words of gratitude towards the players for their time in the organization:

"We thank each of these players for the contributions they made to the Licey cause at the time and wish them the greatest success wherever they continue their careers."

With this decision, the 14 players are free to sign with any other organization of the Dominican winter baseball or in other foreign leagues.
