Los Alcarrizos. – A man was injured after an alleged exchange of gunfire with agents of the National Police, after he allegedly injured a person and robbed another of a motorcycle, in an event that occurred around 11:45 p.m. on the 21st, at kilometer 14 of the Duarte highway.
According to the preliminary report, the agents acted after receiving an alert from the National Emergency Attention System 911, which indicated that an individual had caused injuries to a person and stolen a Bajaj motorcycle, black in color, license plate K1154575, owned by Gilberto Feliz Pérez, 26 years old, so a pursuit was initiated for the recovery of the vehicle.
The intervention took place in the Pantoja area, where the suspect, after falling from the motorcycle, fired several shots at the agents, who were forced to repel the aggression.

During the confrontation, Algeria Peña was shot and wounded, who later died while receiving medical attention at the Vinicio Calventi hospital in Los Alcarrizos. The case was reported to the relevant authorities for legal purposes. By: Daniel Merán
