Marvel and DC unite their worlds for the first time with Deadpool and Batman

Los Angeles.- Marvel and DC Comics, the two biggest superhero franchises, converge their worlds for the first time in twenty years in the comic Deadpool/Batman #1, which will go on sale in September.

In February, they had revealed that they were preparing a crossover and today the project was confirmed by Marvel and the specialized media outlet Entertainment Weekly.

"It's the encounter you never expected but always wanted. Deadpool and Batman cross swords and batarangs as Marvel and DC unite for the first time in decades. Wade Wilson (Deadpool) has been hired for a job in Gotham City, but will the world's greatest detective help him or destroy him?", says the text published on the official Marvel website.

In addition to the main story, the one-shot will feature a line of amazing backup adventures, each with clashes of Marvel and DC characters that are sure to thrill all comic book fans. More details about these backup stories and their creative teams will be shared later.

Deadpool/Batman #1 will be written by Zeb Wells, the Spider-Man comic book writer. While the drawings will be done by Greg Capullo, who has worked for years on the Batman and X-Men franchises.
