The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that it has summoned the Russian ambassador to the country, Oleg Ozerov, to demand "explanations" after six Russian drones violated Moldovan airspace.
"Regarding these events, the ambassador of the Russian Federation is summoned tomorrow at 14:00 hours (GMT+2) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide explanations," it is stated in the statement published on Telegram by the Moldovan diplomacy.
According to the Moldovan Ministry of Defense, six drones violated the country's airspace this morning at different points on the border, and one of the devices was found near the Florești district, in the north of the republic, which is located between Ukraine and Romania.

Specifically, security forces reported the evacuation of one of the towns in Floresti after a drone fell on the roof of a house. Defense called on citizens to immediately report any suspicious flying objects or drone wreckage found on the ground. In addition, he recommended that citizens not touch such objects and, instead, inform the authorities.Following a similar incident last week, Moldova lodged a protest with the Russian ambassador.
Özerov later stated that the Moldovan side had not provided any evidence of the airspace invasion, that the drones were manufactured in Russia, or that they had been intentionally launched by Moscow.
