Santo Domingo. – The National Cattlemen's Association held its 2025 Annual Assembly with the participation of authorities, representatives of the agricultural sector, and delegates from different regions of the country. The meeting was marked by the presentation of historic financial results and new guidelines to strengthen institutional management.
The president of the Board of Trustees, José Manuel Mallén, highlighted the three years of work of the current board and called for unity in the sector. "We always have to look forward. To the extent that we remain united, we define what we can build to improve this house, which is the heritage of the Dominican Republic," he said. Mallén highlighted the country's economic stability in the face of the regional context. "We have an economy that is managed more satisfactorily than most comparable markets in Latin America," he pointed out. He also thanked the support received from the central Government, which he recognized for its direct involvement in the institution. These include the remodeling of the main hall for commercial use, new animal handling areas, the possible installation of a paddle tennis court, and general improvements to the infrastructure. "The dream is to leave a self-sustaining Patronato, which does not have to ask for funds to support the fair or the institution," he said.

Changes in communication and visual identity
Maite Mallén, director of the National Agricultural Fair, presented the new institutional communication strategy, which establishes a differentiation for the first time between the brands Patronato Nacional de Ganaderos, Ciudad Ganadera Dr. Julio Virgilio Brache and Feria Agropecuaria Nacional.

"For the first time in a long time, our fair has a solid corporate image designed to compete internationally," he noted. He also announced that the 2026 Fair will focus on bringing the countryside closer to families and promoting that young people know the origin of food. "The future of the country is in the youth and in the love for the land," he affirmed. During the presentation, the new logo of Ciudad Ganadera was shown, inspired by the silhouette of the central oval of the enclosure, and the opening of the call for the Queen of the 2026 Fair was announced. The Assembly concluded with a call for sectoral unity and a fellowship lunch. Mallén closed the day assuring that the institution is working towards strengthening the next edition of the National Agricultural Fair. "We await you at the 2026 Fair, which will be historic," he expressed.
