Santo Domingo. - The National Police spoke out and defended the police officers who were denounced by the Dominican models Anyelina Rosa, Hiandra Martínez, Lineisy Montero and Melanie Pérez, alleging supposed mistreatment. The women were arrested early Friday morning by a patrol on Duarte Avenue while traveling in a vehicle from the Uber platform. Meanwhile, National Police spokesman Diego Pesqueira assured that the agents acted in accordance with prevention protocols, since the driver did not carry documents and the passengers did not have physical identification at the time of boarding. "The area where the event occurred is considered high risk, historically linked to human trafficking and sexual exploitation networks," Pesqueira said, justifying the intervention.
