“In every step we take, we seek to transform Dominican culture towards one of acceptance and respect,” expressed Oscar Villanueva, president of the Quiéreme como soy Foundation. Steven Puig, president of Banco BHD, stated that, in the Dominican Republic, thousands of families live with cognitive disabilities every day, and considered that “invisible barriers still persist: ignorance, prejudice, and lack of adequate information. And when society does not understand, sometimes without realizing it, it excludes. Therefore, we are pleased to be promoters of inclusion and the main sponsor of this project, which is more than a campaign, it is a necessary conversation for the country.”For his part, Robert Carrady, president of Caribbean Cinemas, highlighted the company's commitment to this initiative, stating that: “At Caribbean Cinemas we join this important initiative through Caribbean Educa, our social responsibility project aimed at generating a positive impact through education. We put at the service of this cause our voice, our reach and our technology so that this campaign for inclusion reaches, from the big screen, more than three million people who visit us annually. We firmly believe in the power of cinema to educate and, above all, to contribute to the construction of a more inclusive society”.
