Santo Domingo.- The Quiéreme como soy Foundation, in partnership with Banco BHD and Caribbean Educa, presented its education and inclusion program, which aims to raise awareness and educate Dominican society about the inclusion of people with cognitive disabilities and neurodiversity. This program stems from an agreement signed between Quiéreme como soy, BHD and Caribbean Educa, which promotes a culture of acceptance, empathy, and respect. The agreement includes the production and dissemination of 12 audiovisual pieces in the formats of educational capsules, institutional commercials, and short documentaries. Since we were born in 2010, we have dedicated all our efforts to promoting social, educational, and labor inclusion, especially for people with cognitive disabilities and neurodiversity. This program is part of the massive awareness campaign that we carry out thanks to the support of institutions committed to building a more conscious and inclusive society, such as Banco BHD and Caribbean Educa.

“In every step we take, we seek to transform Dominican culture towards one of acceptance and respect,” expressed Oscar Villanueva, president of the Quiéreme como soy Foundation. Steven Puig, president of Banco BHD, stated that, in the Dominican Republic, thousands of families live with cognitive disabilities every day, and considered that “invisible barriers still persist: ignorance, prejudice, and lack of adequate information. And when society does not understand, sometimes without realizing it, it excludes. Therefore, we are pleased to be promoters of inclusion and the main sponsor of this project, which is more than a campaign, it is a necessary conversation for the country.”

For his part, Robert Carrady, president of Caribbean Cinemas, highlighted the company's commitment to this initiative, stating that: “At Caribbean Cinemas we join this important initiative through Caribbean Educa, our social responsibility project aimed at generating a positive impact through education. We put at the service of this cause our voice, our reach and our technology so that this campaign for inclusion reaches, from the big screen, more than three million people who visit us annually. We firmly believe in the power of cinema to educate and, above all, to contribute to the construction of a more inclusive society”.

Amplifying a message that transforms culture

The social impact of this alliance between these institutions is a commitment to a better, more just and inclusive society. These educational contents will be developed in the period 2026-2027, and will be disseminated nationally through radio and television, movie theaters, digital platforms and social networks.
