Traffic accident on the Juan Pablo II Motorway leaves one injured

Monte Plata.— A skid of a flatbed truck that occurred on Wednesday afternoon left one person injured in an accident recorded on the Juan Pablo II Highway, near kilometer 80, in the vicinity of Los Haitises National Park. The preliminary report indicates that the incident occurred around 2:30 in the afternoon, when the unit, a vehicle with license plate CA-1882, made contact with a Freightliner brand truck, blue in color, license plate L286160, driven by Johan Manuel Pimentel, who lost control while transporting a load of fertilizers, causing the vehicle to overturn.

As a result of the accident, one person was reported injured. The injured person received primary care at the scene from the corresponding authorities and was later transferred to the Ángel Contreras Provincial Hospital, in Monte Plata province. The relevant authorities are investigating the circumstances in which the event occurred to determine the exact causes of the landslide.
