Santo Domingo.– The weather conditions during this Wednesday were influenced by the passage of a tropical wave that is already beginning to leave the Dominican territory, according to Cristopher Florián, predictor of the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET). Although the phenomenon moves away, Florián warned that during the early hours of the morning, local showers with isolated thunderstorms are expected in different provinces, including Gran Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Peravia, Azua, Barahona, and Pedernales. These precipitations will be of short duration and could also be registered in inland areas such as La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, María Trinidad Sánchez, and Duarte.

Meanwhile, this Friday, the specialist indicated that from the early hours of the day a mostly sunny sky will predominate, but with a grayish appearance, due to the presence of Saharan dust and the incidence of an anticyclonic system, which will generate good weather conditions in a large part of the country.

"The sky will be sunny, with few clouds and a grayish appearance; rainfall will be conspicuous by its absence," he concluded.
