Monte Plata. – Two people traveling on a motorcycle lost their lives last Sunday night after being hit by a jeep in the highway del Nordeste Juan Pablo II, about 20 meters from the intersection with the Monte Plata–Bayaguana road.
The first victim was identified as Alejandro Concepción Ozoria, 71 years old, originally from the municipality of Bayaguana and popularly known as “Comején”, who died at the scene of the accident due to the severe blows received.
The second deceased was named Seledonio Soriano Soriano, 40 years old, a resident of the community of Chirino, who died while being transported in an ambulance to a health center. It was reported that Soriano Soriano worked as a motorcycle taxi driver.

Units from the National Emergency and Security Attention System 9-1-1, the medical examiner, representatives of the Public Ministry, as well as agents from DICRIM and the National Police, went to the scene of the incident, where they carried out the removal of the bodies and initiated the corresponding investigations. Authorities continue to deepen investigations to clarify the circumstances in which the tragic event occurred and determine responsibilities. By: Jonatan Contreras
