Currently, Roblox is an online gaming platform with enormous popularity, especially among children and teenagers. According to Statista, in the second quarter of 2025, more than 111 million daily active users were counted worldwide.
ESET, a leading company in proactive threat detection, warns that this massive interest also results in various unofficial tools that promise advantages within the game, such as the so-called Roblox executor (sometimes referred to as executor in Spanish). ESET analyzes what these programs are, why they arouse interest, and what real risks they entail for both young players and their parents.
"In the Roblox universe, which hosts thousands of user-created games, the most competitive or curious players may be tempted to use an executor to gain special abilities, obtain free virtual currency, or unlock content. A Roblox executor is a cheating or hacking tool that allows a player to execute custom code to gain some advantage."

“While this may be very appealing to some young people due to the possibilities they offer, or because several executors are offered for free on the web, it is also very important to know the risks that their use can entail,” comments Camilo Gutiérrez Amaya, Head of the Research Laboratory at ESET Latin America.
