Santo Domingo.- In the continuation of the judicial process against businessman Antonio Espaillat for the collapse of the roof of the Jet Set nightclub, this Friday at 3:00 in the afternoon, his son, Ricardo Espaillat Namnum, arrived at the Palace of Justice of Ciudad Nueva. Ricardo, who avoided giving statements to the press upon his arrival, is the eldest son of the businessman and has been actively involved in some of the family group's companies, mainly in the field of communication and event production. He is known for his low profile, although in recent years he has been linked to the administration of several cultural and commercial projects associated with his father's name.

The arrival of the young man comes at a time when the Public Ministry is expected to formally present the request for coercive measures against Antonio Espaillat and his sister Maribel Espaillat, accused of alleged gross negligence for not taking timely measures to prevent the collapse of the roof of the nightclub, a tragedy that left 236 people dead and more than 180 injured. Ricardo joins the list of family members and acquaintances who have gone to the Palace of Justice to accompany the businessman, who was transferred last night, Thursday, to the preventive prison of the same building, pending the outcome of his legal situation.
