Zulinka Pérez did agree not to sue the Espaillat family in exchange for a one million pesos check, as evidenced by her signature in a legal document

Santo Domingo. On May 28, 2025, Zulinka Pérez signed a legal act by which she definitively, absolutely, and irrevocably renounces any type of action, claim, demand, complaint, or compensation against the company Inversiones E Y L, S.R.L., its representatives (the Espaillat family), managers, partners, employees, and other persons directly or indirectly linked to it.

This decision comes after receiving, from the aforementioned commercial company, an economic contribution of one million Dominican pesos (RD$1,000,000.00) intended to cover medical, personal, and other damages derived from the collapse of the infrastructure of the Jet Set commercial establishment, which occurred on the morning of Tuesday, April 8, 2025. The amount also considered the loss of Mr. Roberto Antonio Pérez (Rubby Pérez), father of Mrs. Pérez Lizardo. In the signed document, Mrs. Pérez Lizardo expressly accepts and declares to have received said contribution in its entirety, granting a full discharge and release to Inversiones E Y L, S.R.L. Furthermore, she states that she has no interest, link, right, or expectation of future action against the aforementioned company or its representatives, thus exempting them from all present or future liability related to the aforementioned event or any other not expressly mentioned. Similarly, Mrs. Pérez Lizardo stated that the agreement was signed freely, without coercion, pressure or external influence, with full knowledge and acceptance of its legal effects. This act puts an end to any possible legal dispute between the parties and marks a definitive closure within the framework of the regrettable events that occurred at the emblematic Jet Set venue.
