DR will host the second International Forum on Gender and Competence

Santo Domingo.- The National Commission for the Defense of Competition (Pro-Competencia), the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and The George Washington University will hold in the country the second International Forum on Gender and Competition with the purpose of analyzing in depth how competition policies can be effectively aligned with a gender perspective. This forum aims to promote competition as a fundamental pillar to ensure that women have the same opportunities as men in the market, thus contributing to creating a more competitive environment without the inequalities that limit the potential for economic growth. During this Gender and Competition meeting, we will analyze how competition promotes the reduction of entry barriers for female entrepreneurs, contributes to eliminating unfair business practices that harm women-led businesses, and fosters market diversification and openness to new ideas and approaches.
