London.- A Hispanic-Brazilian citizen of 37 years old was found guilty this Wednesday by an English court of murdering a 14-year-old boy in 2024 in northeast London with a samurai sword when he was walking to school.

Following a trial held at London's Old Bailey criminal court, Marcus Arduini Monzo was found guilty of killing Daniel Anjorin in the Hainault neighborhood, in a case that shocked the United Kingdom due to the level of aggression. Artuini Monzo was also found guilty of three counts of attempted murder for having caused injuries to three people at the scene of the assault, as well as of "theft" and "being in possession of a sharp article". The court will sentence him on June 27th. On April 30, 2024, according to details of the trial, the man crashed a van he was traveling in against a fence in the early hours of the morning, causing injuries to a passerby.

After getting out of the vehicle, he entered a house where a couple was sleeping with their 4-year-old daughter, where he attacked the father, but later ran after Daniel Anjorin, whose neck he cut and then stabbed him in the chest when he was on the ground, while also assaulting a police officer. Kirsty O'Connor, from the Crown Prosecution Service, said that the prosecution "maintained at all times that Arduini Monzo's mental state was due to his own misuse of cannabis, which made him fully responsible for the devastation he caused last year. The jury, through its unequivocal verdicts, has accepted the accusation." "Our condolences to the family and friends of Daniel Anjorin, who have suffered an unimaginable loss in terrible circumstances, and our thoughts are with all the victims who continue to recover from their injuries and traumas," he added.
