Abinader will fill vacancies and make new appointments in the coming days

Santo Domingo. – President Luis Abinader informed this Monday that in the coming days the vacancies that were left open after the appointments made this Sunday in several portfolios will be filled. In that sense, the president also did not rule out making new moves within the government during LA Semanal.

"In the coming days those positions will be filled and other changes of different kinds will be made. But there has to be a director," the Head of State specified. Among recent provisions, the designation of Samuel Pereyra as the new president of the Dominican Petroleum Refinery (Refidomsa) stands out, replacing Leonardo Aguilera, who will now preside over the Banco de Reservas (BanReservas). These modifications, advanced by Listín Diario, are part of a strategy to strengthen key State institutions. Listín Diario Likewise, the decree contemplates more strategic appointments: Edward Rafael Guzmán was appointed executive director of the National Health Insurance (Senasa); Adolfo Pérez de León will assume the direction of the National Institute of Student Welfare (Inabie); and engineer Onéximo Antonio González was appointed executive vice president of the Metropolitan Bus Services Operator (OMSA). These appointments respond to the interest of the Executive Branch in reinforcing essential areas such as social health, education, and urban mobility.
