Boris de León heads new ANJE directive for the 2026 period

The National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) held its Ordinary General Assembly, in which the new Board of Directors that will preside over the institution during the January-December 2026 period was sworn in. Boris de León Reyes assumed the presidency, marking a milestone in the organization's 47-year history and reaffirming its commitment to young leadership and union inclusion. During the event, ANJE reported that the elected Board of Directors, which will begin its functions on January 1, 2026, and in accordance with article 35 of the Social Statutes, will be composed of: Boris de León Reyes, President; Karina Mancebo, 1st Vice President; Giselle Valera, 2nd Vice President; Alexis Anselin, Treasurer; Carlos José Martí, Assistant Treasurer; Kalil Díaz, Secretary; Eliza Sánchez, Assistant Secretary; Sonia Read, Director; Vasco Leal, Director; Ralvin Gross, Director; and Claudia Finke, Past President. The executive management will continue to be headed by Crystal Fiallo. In his speech, Boris de León presented the pillars that will guide his presidency and that seek to strengthen the impact of young entrepreneurs on national development. His strategic plan will focus on: promoting a formal, competitive, and innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem; institutional strength and effective judicial protection for a safe investment climate; structural reforms with a long-term vision; an educational system aligned with the future needs of the country; planned and sustainable territorial planning; and innovation and artificial intelligence as engines of economic development. De León, who began his career at ANJE in 2012, highlighted the historical role of the guild as a "cradle of leaders committed to building solutions for national development." He also emphasized the country's progress in economic and institutional matters, while pointing out persistent challenges such as informality, operating costs, productivity, educational quality, and fiscal, electrical, and judicial reforms. Regarding the strategic vision of his management, he stated: "Institutional trust is the foundation that enables stable institutions, growing companies, and a citizenry capable of projecting its future with security. When this is affected, the costs of doing business increase, informality grows, investment decreases, and innovation is curbed." He also emphasized that the entrepreneurial youth is called to "modernize national leadership, raise the level of public debate and build trust through tangible facts", highlighting that these advances will depend on the commitment of ANJE members and allies.

During the Assembly, outgoing president Claudia Finke presented her management report, in which she highlighted the achievements made during her term at the head of the institution. In her words, she expressed that “today I am not closing a cycle… today I am opening paths for others to continue building a country”, while recalling that she assumed the presidency with the commitment to “honor our legacy and accelerate the vision of the future that our generation demands”.

Finke reaffirmed his conviction that "young leadership has the power to transform realities", and assured that ANJE is stronger today because "we learned, evolved and reaffirmed what we are". He concluded by pointing out that he is concluding this stage with the satisfaction of duty fulfilled and the certainty that young leadership will continue to build the country.
