Los Caballos farm in Gurabo closes after drowning death of Leonardo Da Vinci school student

Santiago.- Authorities ordered the temporary closure of the Los Caballos hacienda pool in Gurabo this Wednesday, six days after the drowning of Sthepora Ann-Mircie, an 11-year-old girl, an event that has sparked outrage in the community and among family members, who demand a clear explanation of what happened. The director of Civil Defense in Santiago, Francisco Arias, confirmed that the area where the minor died is a swimming pool intended exclusively for adults and that, in addition, it lacked the minimum safety conditions required to receive visitors, especially minors. The victim, daughter of Haitian parents residing in the Villa Elena residential area, on the Matanza highway, lost her life last Friday, the 14th, while participating in a school excursion from Leonardo Da Vinci school.

Despite the closure of the establishment, the authorities have not yet offered details about the precise circumstances in which the drowning occurred, which keeps the questions open and increases the pressure from the community, which continues to demand transparency in the investigation of the case.
