Governor Rosa Santos highlights progress on Del Sol Street and confirms President Abinader's visit to Santiago

Santiago.– Provincial governor Rosa Santos reported this Wednesday that the intervention works on Del Sol street show significant progress, despite the technical difficulties encountered during the process. She also confirmed that President Luis Abinader will visit Santiago this weekend to develop a broad agenda of activities.

Santos explained that the engineers responsible for the work have faced serious problems in the drainage system and other structural complications, which has led to adjustments in the initial schedule. However, he assured that, after conversations with Vice President Raquel Peña, who recently held a follow-up meeting with the Director of Strategic Projects, Ángel de la Cruz, it is expected that during the first week of December visible progress will be evident in the first section intervened.

In other news, the representative of the Executive Branch announced that President Abinader will arrive in Santiago on Saturday starting at 2:00 p.m. to lead the inauguration of a school in Hato del Yaque, the delivery of a roof in La Yagüita de Pastor and another in Rafey. In addition, he will participate in a conference and hold a private meeting as part of his official agenda. When referring to the strike call for Monday, November 1st in the municipalities of Navarrete and Licey, Santos called on the protesters to act with prudence during the Christmas season, reminding them that it is a time of peace and harmony. Likewise, he urged them to respect the rights of others, free access, and avoid actions that alter the tranquility of citizens.
