Vehicle recovered in La Vega after police chase

The theft of a Toyota Starlet vehicle, blue in color, was reported, which occurred at midday in the city of La Vega. The owner of the car reported that one of his workers, identified as “Sufry”, of Haitian nationality, allegedly stole the vehicle while working in the area.

Following the report, the National Police's Vehicle Investigation Department activated a location operation, managing to locate a unit with the same characteristics on a public road. Upon noticing the police presence, the occupants fled, causing an accident and abandoning the car at the scene.

The vehicle was recovered and taken to the corresponding impound for legal purposes.
The authorities are continuing investigations into the case.
