Indomet forecasts a pleasant environment for outdoor activities

Santo Domingo. - The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), forecast that the weather conditions for the Dominican territory will remain stable in almost the entire national geography, reigning an optimal environment for outdoor activities, mainly during the morning hours. In the afternoon, slight cloud increases will occur with isolated showers of short duration over locations in the provinces: La Altagracia, Monte Plata, La Vega and Monseñor Nouel, among other neighboring ones, due to the combination of wind with local effects (daytime heating and orographic). In that sense, tomorrow Wednesday, a prefrontal trough will approach our forecast area, and will cause a slight increase in humidity, resulting in the occurrence of local showers between weak to moderate, over sectors of La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez. In the afternoon until the early hours of the night, these precipitations will extend towards Monte Plata, Santo Domingo, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, Monseñor Nouel, San Cristóbal, San José de Ocoa, among others.

Temperatures will be slightly warm during the day, being pleasant to cool at night and early morning, due to the time of year, mainly in mountainous areas and inland valleys of the country, where occasional fogs and mists could occur. National District: scattered clouds and sunny. Santo Domingo Norte: few clouds and sunny. Santo Domingo Este: isolated clouds and sunny. Santo Domingo Oeste: partly cloudy and sunny sky. Minimum temperatures between 20 °C and 22 °C and the maximum between 30 °C and 32 °C. Summary: The incidence of an anticyclonic system maintains stable atmospheric conditions in almost the entire country... Only a few isolated and passing showers in the afternoon until the early hours of the night, especially in the regions: northeast, southeast and Cordillera Central... Slightly warm temperatures during the day, being cool and pleasant at night. For Thursday, the incidence of east/northeast winds, with the approach of a frontal system to the north of the country, will generate cloud increases with weak to moderate rains, in the early morning and early hours of the morning, over María Trinidad Sánchez, Puerto Plata, Samaná and Duarte. In the afternoon, moderate to heavy rainfall will occur in towns of: Monte Plata, Hato Mayor and Santo Domingo, among others.
