Santo Domingo.- A 23-year-old woman is in critical condition after being the victim of a violent knife attack, allegedly perpetrated by her partner, in an incident that occurred early this Tuesday in the batey Santa Rita, of the municipal district of Santa Lucía, municipality of Santa Cruz de El Seibo.
The victim was identified as Darianny Lisbeth Mercedes Abreu, originally from the province of Montecristi and residing in the community where the event occurred. According to preliminary information, the young woman suffered multiple injuries that have her fighting for her life, so she is receiving medical attention under strict observation. Members of the National Police and the Public Ministry initiated an investigation to clarify the event and determine responsibilities.
