Miches, El Seibo. – A man was found dead this Monday morning near a landfill located in the Los Franceses sector, in the municipality of Miches, El Seibo province, local authorities reported.
The discovery was made by community members who were passing through the area, who alerted the authorities after noticing the presence of the body at the scene. Immediately, members of the National Police and personnel from the 9-1-1 emergency system went to the area to cordon off the scene and begin the corresponding investigations.
So far, the authorities have not offered official details about the victim's identity or the circumstances in which the event occurred. The body was taken by the medical examiner and sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the necessary studies to determine the exact cause of death.
Residents of the sector expressed concern about the event and called for greater surveillance in the area, while the authorities reiterated that they are working to clarify what happened.
