COOPNAMA opens its 2025 summer courses

Approximately 2,000 leaders from 319 cooperative districts nationwide will be trained and receive conferences on topics related to cooperativism, education, the environment, among others of general interest. Juan Dolio.- The National Cooperative of Multiple Services of Teachers (COOPNAMA), is consolidated as the school of cooperativism with the realization each year of its usual “Summer Courses”, for the empowerment of cooperative leaders for the benefit of their associates. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Santiago Portes, emphasized that this version of the Summer Courses 2025 coincides with the celebration of the international year of cooperatives, which symbolizes a very special year for all cooperators.

He recalled that the Teachers' Cooperative currently has more than 194 thousand members, and also reported that four new virtual service offices have been inaugurated as a result of the continuity and commitment to its members.

informó el presidente de COOPNAMA.
During his intervention, the general manager Lucas Figueroa Lapay, encouraged the leaders so that as a result of these trainings it serves as experience and motivation to do a better job in each of their communities and in their districts where they work as leaders. "We are a social and solidarity economy company," he pointed out.

Summer Course Lectures:

In this new 2025 edition, Personal Finance and Rational Use of Services will be taught, led by Lic. Cálculo Vidal, general manager of MEDICOOP; Emotional state and its effects on Interpersonal Relationships, facilitated by psychologist Puro Blanco; COOPNAMA's Service Policy, conducted by the cooperative educators of the Education Management: Sandy Aquino, Miltón Leodan Mateo and Máximo de la Cruz; and finally, COOPNAMA Initiatives and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, led by Licda. Lenny Urbaez. The event will take place during the months of June to July in the auditorium of the COOPMARENA Hotel, in Juan Dolio, San Pedro de Macorís.
