Traffic agent injured after collision with motorcycle in Monte Plata

Monte Plata.- A member of the General Directorate of Traffic and Ground Transportation Safety (DIGESETT) suffered injuries this Friday after being hit by a motorcycle while performing vehicle control work in the province of Monte Plata.

According to the preliminary report, the officer was at an intersection managing traffic flow when he was struck by the driver of a motorcycle traveling in the area. Following the incident, the officer was taken to a health center to receive medical attention.

The authorities initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances of the event and establish possible responsibilities. The motorcycle driver was detained for investigation purposes.

The DIGESETT reiterated the call to drivers to respect traffic regulations and collaborate with the agents in charge of road safety.
