Collado and Arajet announce new route to Córdoba starting in November

Buenos Aires Argentina – The Minister of Tourism, David Collado and the national flag airline Arajet, announced today the opening of a new direct route between the city of Córdoba, Argentina and the paradisiacal destination of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

This new connection consolidates the airline's commitment to continue expanding air connectivity between South America and the Caribbean, and to continue consolidating Dominican Republic as the quintessential tourist destination for Argentinians, as well as positioning the country as the new air Hub of the American Continent.

With this new route, Arajet becomes the first international airline to offer direct flights between Córdoba and Punta Cana, providing Argentine travelers with an accessible and convenient option to enjoy the beaches, culture, and Dominican hospitality. Flights to Córdoba will begin to be sold on July 1st and will operate from November 8, 2025, with an initial frequency of 3 flights per week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, contributing significantly to bilateral tourist flow. In addition, Arajet announced that it will resume its Buenos Aires–Santo Domingo route, with two weekly flights, on Mondays and Fridays, starting December 12, 2025; and flights between Buenos Aires and Punta Cana are also increased to 13 weekly flights, thus expanding the range of options available to the Argentine market.

In total, Arajet will end 2025 with 18 weekly flights between the Dominican Republic and Argentina, a historic milestone in terms of direct connection between both countries.

For his part, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, highlighted the importance of this new connection to continue strengthening the country's international positioning: "Argentina is already the third most important country in terms of tourist emissions for the Dominican Republic, only behind the United States and Canada, and it has grown by 100% in 2025, and that is due to the increase in frequencies, as Arajet has done, and the launch of new routes that did not exist like this one from Córdoba".

The Dominican Republic continues to position itself as the Caribbean's air hub and Arajet as the natural bridge between the south of the continent and the most desired destinations in the Caribbean, Central and North America, thanks to its safety and efficiency model.
