Masha: Between Fame and Lawsuits

Santo Domingo.- The public trajectory of Ashley Mariel Victoriano Sánchez, artistically known as Masha, is once again at the center of the national debate after the shooting that occurred early this Monday morning, where Dominic Natalia Gómez Cabrera, 22, who was traveling in the same vehicle as the urban exponent, died.

This fact is not an isolated episode within the media and judicial history that has surrounded the artist since her beginnings in the urban genre. Masha began to gain notoriety on social media through musical content, but her public exposure increased due to her relationship with the urban exponent Steven Diloné Serrata, known as Dilon Baby. In 2023, both were linked to an alleged traffic incident in which they would have hit a minor and subsequently abandoned the scene. At that time, the authorities initiated an investigation that led to the arrest of the artist, who was still a minor and allegedly used false documentation to access nightclubs. This case led to her being taken into custody by the National Council for Childhood and Adolescence (CONANI).

In October 2025, the artist was arrested along with several people after the seizure of marijuana packages in a vehicle. The process concluded with the imposition of financial guarantee and periodic reporting as a coercive measure. In that file, Jhokomo Hernández De la Rosa, alias "Yakomo" or "Sinaloa", was also linked, who is currently wanted by the authorities in relation to the recent shooting and other facts under investigation. Beyond the spectacle Masha's case reflects a complex combination of accelerated fame, adolescent vulnerability, media exposure, and conflicts with the judicial system. As investigations progress, Masha's figure continues to be the subject of public debate: a symbol of controversies, an example of how the urban entertainment industry can intertwine with risky environments and early exposure to minors.
