Technical failure leaves Beyoncé suspended in the air in Houston

Houston. – The superstar Beyoncé experienced a tense moment on Saturday night in her hometown, Houston, during one of the most anticipated stops of her Cowboy Carter Tour. While performing her song “16 Carriages,” the artist was suspended in a red Cadillac that was moving through the stadium when the vehicle began to tilt and stopped unexpectedly, leaving Beyoncé trapped in the air. In the precise instant the car tilted, Beyoncé interrupted the music and asked over the megaphone: “Stop, stop, stop…”, while she adjusted herself and firmly held onto one of the safety cables. The tension grew among the attendees while the structure remained suspended.

After a few moments of silence and after stabilizing, a rescue protocol was activated: a specialized crane slowly lowered the platform, allowing the singer to safely return to the stage roof. Once on solid ground, Beyoncé not only thanked the audience for their patience with an emotional “Thank y’all for your patience” in English, but also expressed her confidence in the attendees: “If ever I fall, I know y’all would catch me”. Then, the concert resumed normally, regaining the energy and visuals that have characterized their tour, while the audience responded with cheers and applause.
