USA - Although the alleged arrest of influencer Khaby Lame in the United States went viral yesterday, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has no official record to confirm it.
According to the process for verifying immigration detentions, which is public, no evidence is shown that the content creator is in custody due to irregular immigration status.
The information about the alleged arrest was made by political activist Bo Loudon, who unleashed a chain of misinformation about Lame's situation. According to Loudon, the TikToker was an "illegal" and that he had worked with "patriots from Trump's Department of Homeland Security" to report him.
However, so far ICE has not released any official statement regarding the detention of Khaby Lame either.
