Brazilian authorities have transferred former President Jair Bolsonaro to a hospital in Brasilia this Tuesday after suffering a health crisis while under house arrest, reported G1.
The former president presented a case of low blood pressure accompanied by vomiting and episodes of hiccups.
Bolsonaro was taken to the DF Star hospital in the capital, under the custody of agents from the Federal District Penitentiary Police. His son, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, confirmed the episode via the social network X and asked for prayers that "it's nothing serious".

According to the former president's defense, Bolsonaro is experiencing recent medical problems, including iron deficiency anemia and the after-effects of pneumonia. In recent weeks, he underwent tomography studies, the removal of skin lesions, and intravenous iron treatment. He also suffers from hypertension and gastroesophageal reflux.
Bolsonaro has been under house arrest since August 4, 2025, accused of violating precautionary measures and his role in attempts to disregard the 2022 election results. This is the second time he has had to be taken to a hospital since being under arrest.
Bolsonaro's house arrest regime establishes that the former president can only leave his residence in cases of medical emergency. However, the resolution also obliges him to present within a maximum period of 24 hours the documentation that proves the reason for the departure and the treatment received.
