Moscow.- Russia condemns the US attacks against nuclear facilities in Iran, calls them "irresponsible" and demands "an end to the aggression", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this Sunday.
"The irresponsible decision to subject the territory of a sovereign state to missile and bomb attacks, regardless of the arguments used, seriously violates international law, the Charter of the United Nations and UN Security Council resolutions that deem such actions unacceptable," reads the note on the Ministry's Telegram channel.
The Foreign Ministry emphasizes that "it is especially alarming that the attacks were carried out by a permanent member of the UN Security Council".
Because the attacks have been against nuclear infrastructure, Russia demands a prompt assessment of the situation and demands an "honest" response from the leadership of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which was monitoring Iran's nuclear program.

The IAEA, for its part, stated this Sunday that they have not recorded any increase in radiation levels outside the three nuclear facilities attacked by the U.S. in Iran and is confident that there will be no consequences for health or the environment. Former Russian President Dmitri Medvedev stated today via his Telegram channel that "there are countries that are ready to directly hand over their own nuclear weapons to Iran." The President of the United States, Donald Trump, declared on Saturday (US time) that US fighter jets bombed three key nuclear facilities in Iran, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing war between Iran and Israel, to which Tehran has responded for the moment by attacking new Israeli targets.
