In Cleveland, the Guardians defeated the Seattle Mariners 4-3 despite the Venezuelan offense. Jorge Polanco hit his 22nd home run in the seventh inning and Julio Rodríguez connected his 26th in the eighth, although it was not enough to avoid the defeat. Polanco finished 4-1 with an RBI and a run scored, while Rodríguez went 4-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Gavin Williams shone on the mound for the Guardians with seven innings of just one run and eight strikeouts. In Baltimore, the Orioles crushed the San Francisco Giants 11-1. Willy Adames hit his 25th home run of the season, although it was the only run for his team. On the Orioles' side, Trevor Rogers pitched seven solid innings and Samuel Basallo celebrated his first home run in the Major Leagues, finishing 4-1 with two runs scored, one RBI, and one walk. In Kansas City, Dominican Carlos Estevez added his 36th save, absolute leader of MLB in that category, by successfully closing the Royals' 3-1 victory over the Tigers. The closer allowed only one hit in the ninth inning. In San Diego, the Latin offensive exploded in the Padres' 12-3 victory over Minnesota. Ramón Laureano hit his 22nd home run and drove in three runs; Manny Machado contributed two hits, one RBI, and two runs scored, while Fernando Tatis Jr. added a run and received two walks. Finally, in Tampa Bay, the Rays defeated the Nationals 4-1. Junior Caminero scored a run despite going hitless with the bat (3-0), and for Washington, Luis García Jr. went 1-4 with a run scored.
