Boston, MA. — The Boston Red Sox continue to be on fire. This Wednesday, they overcame a deficit in the final innings to defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3, extending their winning streak to seven, the longest of the season.

During six innings, Boston's offense was silenced, limited to just two hits. But in the seventh inning, the story changed. Marcelo Mayer hit a run-scoring double to bring his team closer on the scoreboard, and immediately afterwards, Ceddanne Rafaela hit a two-run single to center field that turned the game around. Walker Buehler had a solid outing, allowing three runs in six innings, which kept the Red Sox close before the final rally. With this victory, Boston improves its record to 50-45 and demonstrates that it can respond to more demanding rivals, after defeating the Nationals and Rockies in the previous series. The triumph comes just as the All-Star Game and the highly anticipated T-Mobile Home Run Derby 2025 are approaching, where two Dominicans will shine on the stage of power.
