Punta Cana.- Domenico Geminiani was crowned champion of the first stop of the Canita Mastercard Tour Banreservas, held this weekend at the Punta Blanca Golf Course, in Punta Cana.
Geminiani in three rounds finished with -19 under par, after compiling 63+67+67, totaling 197 strokes. Three more strokes (200), for Wolmer Murillo, who put in three rounds of 70+64+66. Third for Anthony García, with 72+67+67. It was the historic event of the Canita Tour that saw the most international professional players in action.
It should be noted that the three players finished under par. -19 for the champion, -16 for Murillo and -10 for García. The second stop of the event will be held between October 24 and 26 of this year, at La Cana Golf Course. In the Senior category, Juan Campusano was crowned with 137 strokes in two rounds; second for Raúl Cendoya with 139, Luis Matos came third with 154. In the Mid-Amateur, Pedro Hernández was the champion of this stop with a cumulative score of 4 over par, followed by Arturo Polanco and Michael Cruz.
