A man who was trafficking 10,000 illicit cigarettes in Comendador is arrested

Elías Piña. – He was arrested by soldiers of the Dominican Republic Army, belonging to the 11th Infantry Battalion, a man who was transporting 10,000 cigarettes of foreign origin, illegally in Comendador, Elías Piña.

The arrest was made on Las Carreras street, in the municipality of Comendador, where Robert Guerrero was traveling on a Sucati brand motorcycle, model CG-150, black, without a license plate.

The detainee was carrying a green-colored sack containing 50 packs of Capital brand cigarettes, 200 units each, for a total of 10,000 units, without the corresponding documentation to prove their legal origin.

The detainee and the illicit merchandise were transferred under custody to the Fortaleza La Estrelleta of the ERD, for the corresponding processes in accordance with the Law.
