Santo Domingo.– A preacher from the Seventh-day Adventist Church of San Cristóbal was seriously injured after receiving at least ten stab wounds when resisting a robbery, in an incident that occurred in the Colinas de Arroyo Hondo sector, in the National District.
The injured person was identified as Irving Núñez Nina, 47 years old, who, according to preliminary information, after preaching in his congregation, went to offer services as a taxi driver through the Uber platform.
According to a statement issued this Friday, Núñez Nina was found in critical condition by a National Police patrol, which was carrying out surveillance work in the area. The man had multiple stab wounds and was rushed to the Marcelino Vélez Santana Hospital, in the Herrera sector.

In the health center, he underwent surgery and is currently admitted to the intensive care unit, with a guarded prognosis.
Authorities reported that an investigation has been launched to find those responsible for the attack, while family members, church members, and associates have expressed their concern and requested prayers for the preacher's recovery.
