Santo Domingo. – Banco Popular Dominicano celebrated the fourth edition of the Popular Challenge for employees, an idea co-creation marathon aimed at its collaborators, whose focus this year was based on the design of initiatives that combine artificial intelligence and data to achieve a more human and efficient banking, both for customers and for the financial organization's own employees.
A total of 232 collaborators, from the officer level to sub-managers, participated in this fourth edition, for which they were previously trained in the design thinking methodology, with the aim of properly structuring their proposals. Subsequently, a panel of executives from different areas of the financial institution evaluated ten finalist teams, advised by mentors from the organization.
During the meeting, Mrs. Antonia Antón de Hernández, Senior Executive Vice President of Human Management, Cultural Transformation, Credit Administration and Compliance, expressed that this ideas marathon "not only boosts internal talent, but also reaffirms the bank's commitment to digital transformation, constant innovation and the creation of value from within".
Winners of the fourth edition
The CEO of Popular, Mr. Christopher Paniagua, was present at the awards ceremony, in which cash prizes were awarded to the three winning teams and the special mention. The first place was achieved by the team of Arisneudy Santana, Juan Ubiera, Maireny Salas, Natanael Decena and Víctor Montás; in second place were Ariel Alexander Méndez, Ashley Classe, Miguel Laurencio, Óscar Camacho and Yessica Recio; while the third place was obtained by the group formed by Adriany Labour, Brian Salomón, Daniela Caballero, Nicole Sepúlveda and Vantroi Morillo.You may be interested in: Merchants alarmed by robbery at two colmados in Santiago Oeste
The special mention was for Jahaziel Rodríguez, Lewis De Jesús Bautista, Manuel De Jesús Rivera, Suleyma Aquino Sena and Uriel Rosario. This initiative promotes collaboration, commitment, and team spirit among collaborators, strengthening relationships within the organization and becoming a powerful catalyst for creativity and innovation.
